History of the Hawks
The hawks is the youngest team in the Victorian-based AFL teams. The teams colours are strips of gold and brown and have many other ones that are white based with a picture of a hawk etc. Hawthorns motto is spectemur agendo, which is Latin for "let us be judged by our acts". Hawthorns home ground that they originated from and started playing professionally is Glenferrie Oval located in hawthorn in Melbourne. In 2006, Hawks training and administration facilities were then moved to Waverley Park , and they also have a second home ground called York Park in Launceston, Tasmania.
Hawthorn has currently won 10 premierships 1961,1971 ,1976 , 1978 , 1983, 1986, 1988, 1989 , 1991, 2008 |

My reason for supporting this team
Ever since i was young my dad has taken me to the afl games and ive always enjoyed the whole atmosphere. I started off playing afl from a very young age and stopped playing it when i was 14 due to injury and then i just got lazy. I support hawthorn football club because my dad has ever since i was born and he is a die hard supporter owning heaps of jumpers and heaps of other merchandiser. I hope you all enjoy my blog
